3. Microsatellite Utilization Symposium 2022

On January 18, 2022, JAXA’s New Business Promotion Department held the “Microsatellite Utilization Symposium 2022” to explore the possibilities of microsatellite missions in the fields of space science and Earth observation, where microsatellites are increasingly being used worldwide.

The program developed the following topics throughout the sessions: Finding Possibilities for Space Science Exploration Applications, Space Science Mission, Space Exploration Mission, Earth Observation Mission, Enabling Technologies, and a panel discussion on Space Transportation Services.

Okuyama Laboratory of Nihon University, College of Science and Technology, Department of Aerospace Engineering, was represented by Professor Kei-Ichi Okuyama and postdoctoral researcher Isai  Fajardo.

In the session about Earth Observation Mission, Professor Kei-Ichi Okuyama presented Earth low orbit environment observation satellites “Ten-Koh” and “Ten-Koh 2”. https://aerospacebiz.jaxa.jp/cubesatlv2022/5-6_detail_technology.html
