Tsukuba Science Edge 2021 Workshop was held on March 2021, co-sponsored by their Executive Committee composed by: Ibaraki Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefectural Board of Education, Tsukuba City, Tsukuba City Board of Education, Tsukuba Science Academy, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST); supported by College of Science and Engineering, Nihon University , Cooperation Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and JTB Inc.
This event is a place for students to present their science-related “ideas” based on the research they have conducted in class assignments and club activities. The event is a fun way to experience the “cutting edge of science” through on-the-spot discussions with world-class scientists. Normally, high school students from all over Japan gather at the Tsukuba International Congress Center, but this time, due to the Corona Disaster, all but a few presentations were given online.
Nihon University’s College of Science and Technology was in charge of the online workshop. Professor Keiichi Okuyama and Visiting Professor Yasuyuki Miyazaki in representation of Department of Aerospace Engineering presented the conference “Satellite Development for Space Utilization and Beyond: Why We Aim at Space”
