17. Best wishes from Okuyama Lab this 2023

Author: Valeria RAMOS BARBA

Last December 2022, the Okuyama laboratory celebrated its End of the Year’s party ( Bōnenkai 忘年会 in Japanese) aboard a boat in Tokyo Bay. We had the opportunity to appreciate a beautiful sunset, we ate delicacies such as Tepanyaki and Monjayaki (traditional from Tokyo Bay).

The end of the year is a great season to share with colleagues, friends and family in Japan. We also think about the past and the future. The senior students will present their final research work as thesis during the first quarter of 2023, we wish they can finish successfully, gambatte! (がんばります!)

By the way, Okuyama Lab members will continue to work hard for Ten-Koh 2「てんこう2」 .

On the other hand, we are very happy because JAXA announced that the first test of the new H3 rocket will be launched from Tanegashima Space Center. This vehicle will carry Ten-Koh 2「てんこう2」 into space in one of the subsequent trips.

Development of Japan’s new main launch vehicle, the H3, began in 2004. In the following video the people behind the H3 rocket talk about their thoughts and feelings at the time of launch.
