SI / HCCI knocking

This research is in a framework of “Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program” promoted by Japanese cabinet office.  Link to: JST SIP program page (in Japanese)

Pressure wave generation due to local ignition is reproduced and examined by a rapid compression machine that realizes less than 5 ms of compression time.  The relation between the heat release time and the intensity of knocking is beeing investigated.
